Week 6 of college!

Into week 6 now and its getting pretty full on.. exams and assignments are due so its all crazy!! Im just trying not to panic ...

Last weekend I played the county semi final with my club- Beara. We beat Liscarrol well in the end and it was some game to win as they would have been red hot favourites really.. Were into the county final now in three weeks so cant wait. It would be my first time winning a county with my club in like 5 years so im hoping we can change that in three weeks time!!:) I think were playing the winners of North Cork and Ballingeary.......!

I think ill go to the cineama tonight with my boyfriend looking forward to seeing the new film " Couples Retreat " the trailers look brill !! See--Hee Hee!!

My Weekend !

The weekends are without doubt way too short.. I worked on sat for a few hours and then I went to see my brother play in his last u12 match. Unfortunately for him they lost the West Cork semi final by 3 points. It was a great game to watch.. I decided to go out sat nite then so I went to the pub to watch Ireland play Italy and Ireland threw that game away.. and then I went into town and it was there I stayed !! :)

Careers Day in Cit

On tuesday the 6th of October there was a careers day held in the students centre. Many companies and businesses were canvassing for themselves. I honestly thought there would be loads of businesses offering work experience but none seem interested unfortunately, because im going on work experience for 4 months in the second semester as part of my course...... I think its going to be v v hard to get work experience.. but ill keep trying and hope for the best!!

Home for the Weekend!!

Home now from my week of college. The week was good busy preparing my cv for work experience and I have my first assessment next week! I have a football match tomorrow with my club so looking forward to it. I also decided to vote in the Lisbon Treaty. Will relax for my weekend and meet up with my friends and maybe go for a few drinks who knows!!

Cork Mens All Ireland 09

I travelled to Dublin the weekend 20th Sept to the mens All Ireland with the hope of Cork beating Kerry-oh how sweet would that have been... I went up with a few people from home and we enjoyed our weekend considering the result of the game. I was so disappointed after the game though.. The atmosphere in Croke Park was savage and the Cork support was massive, it was just unfortunate that they lost out on the day! The morning of the game O Connell Street was packed with both sets of supporters and there was loads of people trying to sell and swap tickets.. Next year we will all hope the Cork men will be back stronger than ever!!

Cork Ladies Home-Coming

Last night myself and a few of the girls from college went in to the south mall to welcome home the victorious Cork Senior Ladies Football team who have achieved 5 All Irelands in a row. There was a great atmosphere. There was a big crowd to meet and greet them and being a former member of the team myself in winning four All Irelands it was great to see all the girls and the management to congratulate them. The team then left the Imperial Hotel and then ventured down to the village of Killeagh in East Cork to continue the celebrations with the Brendan Martin cup because the captain is from Inch Rovers in Killeagh.

Third Year In College

Now that I am back to college im beginning to settle into Cork again. Third year will be tough but I will be looking forward to our work experience in the second semester. This week is freshers week in college so there will be loads of events happening in the students centre so it will be good crack!!
